ComfortDelGro Australia (CDC) is championing the push to raise awareness for men’s health and help reduce the incidence of male suicide by supporting the Movember campaign throughout November.
Close to 1000 buses, taxis and ambulances from CDC’s State operations nationally have been adorned with the iconic moustache to raise awareness for the Movember campaign. Other initiatives include fund raising activities across our State operations, as part of our support and commitment to this worthy cause.
Movember is a leading global charity and takes place in November each year to supports men’s health awareness for prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health, and suicide prevention.
This initiative is led by CDC Victoria who have supported the Movember campaign for the last 3 years. CDC Victoria is also proud to be the first bus company to support this campaign and adorn Moustaches on its vehicles in Victoria. This year we are proud that other CDC’s operations nationally, including New South Wales, Australian Capital Territory, Queensland, Northern Territory and Western Australia, have also chosen to support the Movember Foundation.
2020 has been a momentous year of upheaval for the world with Covid-19 affecting us all. The airline industry has been one of the worst hit sectors with Aussies being unable to do one of the things we love so much, travel the world.
While some pilots from Qantas have temporarily hung up their wings, they’ve swapped the controls of huge Airbus A380 aircraft for the steering wheels of buses operated by our Sydney operation, Forest Coach Lines.
CDC is proud of the efforts we have been going too ensuring our staff have a Covid- safe work place and still being able to support their families with our commitment to keeping them working through the worst of it.
To our Qantas pilots, thank you for sharing the heart felt emotions of your stories. It is our pleasure to welcome you onboard our buses until you can welcome us back on board your Airbuses.
