Due the the Chinese New Year Parade on George Street, from 5pm this Sunday all Hillsbus services will be limited to the bus stops on the Northern side of the City. Intending Hillsbus Customers should make their way to Clarence Street for their service.

Hillsbus timetabled services will commence from the alternative Clarence St location, with the last Route 610 to Rouse Hill departing at 11:11pm.

Additional Hillsbus Services

The Australia Day public holiday will offer a diverse range of community activities at civic centres this Thursday 26 January. Hillsbus will be running a range of services to get customers to and from these events.

Buses to the City:

Increased Route 610X services from Rouse Hill to the City, via Castle Hill will operate in the morning to provide extra seating capacity on top of the regular timetabled services. In total, 6 additional services will operate at the most popular times of the day.

The Metrobus M61 and the new Route 607X services will also provide regular transport options to customers travelling between The Hills District and the City. 

Buses from the City:

Increased Route 610 services will operate in the afternoon peak, from Railway Square to Rouse Hill every hour between 3:30pm and 10:30pm. Extra bus services will depart the Queen Victoria Building (George St) after the fireworks (9:36pm and 9:51pm).

The last Route 610 bus will depart Railway Square at 11:05pm. In total, 7 additional services will operate at the most popular times of the day.

All other Hillsbus service will operate to a Sunday/Public Holiday timetable.

Customers are advised to check the 131500 trip planner for the transport options that best suit their planned travel.

Additional Hillsbus Route 611 Services

Commencing Friday 27 January 2012

Due to the increasing popularity of Hillsbus Route 611, weekday service levels are being increased to provide passengers 11 additional daytime services between Blacktown and Macquarie Park.

Effective Friday 27 January 2012, the increased Route 611 frequency will provide a service every thirty (30) minutes between 9am and 3pm.  These buses will suit customers travelling to/from work, university and shopping centres on this route.

The revised 611 timetable is now available online.

S8 Timetable changes

Effective Friday 27 January 2012

A new S8 timetable will be introduced on Friday 27 January that will provide a service extension from Wentworthville Station to Wentworthville Shopping Plaza. This service extension will operate every weekday and is in response to community feedback.

A reduced number of S8 services will be provided in the new timetable with services to operate between 9am and 3pm only.

The revised S8 timetable is now available online and from bus drivers.

Sydney Festival

During the Church St road closures for the Sydney Festival, 10am Friday through to 6pm Sunday evening. Intending passengers should make their way to the nearest alternative bus stops.

On Friday 13 Jan 2012, customers wanting to catch a T60-T66 services will need to make their way to Parramatta Interchange Stand B4.

Essential work to be carried out on the Sydney Harbour Bridge

The bridge will be closed, delays are expected during the three weekends in January 13-16, 20-23 & 27-30

The bridge will be closed to motorists for up to three weekends in January (13-16, 20-23, 27-30) from 10pm Friday until 5am.

Emergency vehicles will have access across the bridge. Buses, hire cars, motorcycles and taxis will stil be able to use the bridge, however delays are expected.

Hillsbus Route 607X between Rouse Hill Town Centre and the City commencing January 2012

Commencing Tuesday 3 January 2012, the new route 607X will provide daily services between Rouse Hill Town Centre and the City express via the North West T-way, M2 and Lane Cove Tunnel. Services will operate approximately every hour during weekday off peak periods, every 30 minutes on weeknights, and every hour all day on weekends.

The new route 607X will operate in addition to existing route 617X peak hour services currently operating between Rouse Hill, Beaumont Hills, and the City. Route 607X will serve the same stops as route 617X between Riley T-way (corner of Samantha Riley Drive) and Railway Square in both directions.

New Years Eve - Parramatta City

New Years Eve, Sydney City 31 December

More daytime buses will be running into the City and North Sydney to get customers to the firework spectator areas.
• 610X – leaving Rouse Hill Town Centre to City at 3pm until 7pm
• 612 – leaving from Riley T-way to North Sydney from 3:30pm until 6pm
• 607X – leaving Rouse Hill Town Centre via T-way to City from 4pm until 6pm
• 620X – leaving Dural to QVB at 3:30pm & 5:30pm
• 622 – leaving Dural to North Sydney at 4:50pm & 5:50pm.

After the 9pm and midnight fireworks, buses will be returning on routes:
• 610/X – leaving from Clarence St, Wynyard from 9:41 pm until 3:40 am
• 610X – leaving Wynyard to Hills District 24 Hours service
• 612 – leaving from Pacific Hwy North Sydney from 9:40pm until 2:30am
• 607X – leaving Wynyard to Riley and express via M2 to the North West T-way and Rouse Hill Town Centre from 9:45pm until 1:30am
• 620X – leaving from Clarence St, Wynyard 9:41pm until 2:41am
• 622 – leaving from Pacific Hwy North Sydney from 9:45pm until 1:00am.

Hillsbus is running buses to an amended timetable during December to have services available to meet customers choosing to travel at different times.

Wed 7,14,21, Thurs 8,15,22, Fri 9,16,23 December
A supplementary route 607X service will operate during the evening, departing from the City. This service will operate express via M2 to the North West T-way and Rouse Hill Town Centre.

Saturday 10,17,24 December
Additional evening 610X services.

These Public Holidays 25, 26 & 27 December, 1 & 2 January
Hillsbus will be running the normal Sunday/Public Holiday timetables.

Throughout Wed 28 December - 6 Jan, 2012
There will also be a slight reduction in weekday peak city services throughout Wed 28 December - 6 Jan, 2012.
Hillsbus services below, will not operate on these days, as they have been moved to alternate times.

Hillsbus route 610X to become a 24-hour service through Friday and Saturday nights from 2 December

From Friday 2 December, Route 610X from the City to Castle Hill will operate 24 hours through Friday and Saturday nights.

Additional trips will be provided, in both directions, to provide a 24-hour service between the City and Castle Hill.  This will provide customers with greater opportunity to get home from the City in the early hours of Saturday and Sunday mornings, instead of trying to board the last buses from the City which currently depart at approximately 2:30am.

The additional trips will be provided as follows:

Friday night/Saturday morning
Departing Castle Hill at 2:37am, 3:37am and 4:37am
Departing City-Railway Square at 3:40am, 4:40am and 5:40am

Saturday night/Sunday morning
Departing Castle Hill at 2am, 3am, 4am, 5am, 6am and 7am
Departing City-Railway Square at 3:05am, 4:05am, 5:05am, 6:05am, 7:05am and 8:05am.
In conjunction with the introduction of these additional services, existing Route 610 services operating after midnight on Friday and Saturday nights will operate as Route 610X via the Lane Cove Tunnel and will no longer operate via Epping Road.

Additional services will also be provided on Sunday evenings from Castle Hill to the City, departing Castle Towers at 7pm, 8pm and 9pm, to provide later services for customers heading to the City from the Hills District (the current last departure from Castle Hill to the City departs at 6:30pm on Metrobus Route M61).

The diversion of the Route 616/616X services off Old Windsor Road and into the Norbrik T-way bus stop will cease on Monday 14 November.

Passenger loading surveys have identified that the current diversion of the Route 616/616X is significantly delaying these City services. The existing Route 617X services travel on a similar route and service intending Norbrik passengers at frequent intervals.

Customers transferring to Lane Cove and Milsons Point services can change buses at the M2 bus stops.

Route T64 will travel via Norwest Private Hospital

From Monday 14 November

All route T64 services will travel on a new route, stopping at Norwest Private Hospital. The new section of the route will be between Elizabeth Macarthur Drive and Norbrik Drive, providing improved access to the Hospital and shopping centre.

This new route will commence on Monday 14 November 2011, on all T64 services between Parramatta, Bella Vista and Rouse Hill.

Route 604 timetable adjustment

Specific weekday Route 604 services between Parramatta and Castle Hill are being extended to Winston Hills Mall on weekdays.

This service extension is being applied in response to community feedback and provides additional access to this popular destination.

The timetable adjustment has maintained the current bus commencement times and includes additional travel time during the trips where required.  Customers are advised to check their timetable for changes to their services.

These operational adjustments are being applied to the timetables and will commence Monday 8 August 2011.   

The revised 604 Timetable is effective 8 August and is now available.

Following completion of the Castle Hill Main Street road works, Hillsbus has resumed use of the bus stop near Cecil Ave.
Passengers can now board/alight at this stop.

The temporary stop near Benaara Gardens has been closed.

Additional Hillsbus Route 610X Services on Weekday Evenings

Due to the increasing popularity of Hillsbus services on Weekday evenings, Services levels are being increased to provide passengers additional seating capacity.

Effective Monday 23 May 2011, Hillsbus will operate three extra Route 610X services to/from the City.  These services will increase the frequency of weekday Route 610 services to every fifteen (15) minutes between 9pm and 10pm.  An additional Route 610X will also operate to the City departing Castle Hill at 8:51pm.

The revised 610-M61_Timetable is effective 23 May 2011 and is currently available.

Metrobus M60 - Parramatta to Hornsby via Castle Hill

The newest addition to the popular Metrobus network is commencing Monday 7 March.

Metrobus M60 connects Hornsby, Normanhurst, Thornleigh, Pennant Hills, Cherrybrook, Castle Hill, Baulkham Hills and Parramatta

It is the twelfth Metrobus route, with 13 to be introduced by mid-2011.

The new M60 delivers an extra 375 bus services a week, providing an additional 16,000 passenger seats for people travelling between Parramatta and Hornsby.

Metrobus M60 high frequency service operates 7 days a week, departing every 10 minutes during morning and afternoon peak periods, every 15 minutes during the day, and every 20 minutes on weekends.

Weekdays
The first M60 departs Parramatta at 5.30am, and the last M60 departs Parramatta at 8.10pm. The first M60 departs Hornsby at 6.00am, and the last M60 departs Hornsby at 7:55pm.

Weekends and Public Holidays
The first M60 service departs from Hornsby at 7.30am then every 20 minutes until the last departures at 7.30pm. The first M60 service departs from Parramatta at 7.28am, then every 20 minutes until the last bus departures at 7.28pm.

The Metrobus M60 replaces and consolidates the existing route 600 between Parramatta, Baulkham Hills and Castle Hill. Early morning and late evening services between Parramatta and Castle Hill are provided by route 600 (see separate M60/600 timetable for departure times.)

Each red Metrobus is air-conditioned and they are low-floor buses to allow easy access for wheelchair users, less mobile passengers and parents with prams. The popular Metrobus Network is expanding to 13 routes, providing a total of 8,000 more bus services across Sydney.
