Temporary Bus Route Diversion at UWS

From Monday 6th February 2012
Due to safety concerns relating to the power pole and barriers at the intersection at Second Ave and O’Connell St, Westbus Route 774, 775 & 776 services will be
diverted around the O’Connell St bus stops and will use nearby alternative bus stops.
Westbus is working with the local authorities to have the safety concern addressed and services restored to the normal route.
Intending passengers should make their way to the nearby alternative bus stops. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

T-Way Road Works Completed

Road works on the T-Way have been completed.
Westbus Route 812 will resume services on the t-way and will no longer use this bus stop.

Fare increases from 2 January 2012

The Independent Pricing and Regulatory Tribunal (IPART) announced a fare increase which will take effect from Monday 2 January 2012.
The fare increase means an adult single rail ticket will rise by between 20 and 40 cents; a weekly MyTrain ticket will rise by between $1 and $3; a single adult bus ticket will increase by between 10 and 20 cents; and a MyBus TravelTen will rise by between 80 cents and $1.60.

Bus route 782 returns to North St Marys

The former Route 782 bus service through North St Marys, will be reinstated to provide local residents with a direct link to Penrith.
The interim shuttle bus service – Route 782E - will commence from Wednesday, 21 December, until a permanent extension of Route 782 is implemented in mid-2012. This bus will provide a bus connection between Werrington station and St Marys Station, via Griffiths Street, Jackaranda Road and Maple Road.

This Route 782E shuttle “extension” will operate hourly, Mondays to Saturdays, in each direction, between 9.30am and 3pm until mid-2012.
It will then be replaced with a full Route 782 which will operate between Penrith and St Marys Station via North St Marys.

St Marys Spring Festival

Queen St Closure
Due to the St Marys Spring Festival, Queen Street will be closed on Saturday 3 September 2011 from 6.30am to 6pm. Routes 770, 774, 775, 776, 778, 781 & 779 will divert through Great Western Highway and Glossop Street from St Marys Station, as shown below.

Free Transport for Vietnam Veterans’ Day

Parade: 11.30am
Free transport will be provided for Vietnam Veterans’ Day travelling to the parade this weekend. Reserve personnel who are wearing medals, uniform or who have identification confirming their status as ex-service personnel, will be allowed free travel.

Route 759 Diversion to St Marys Station (Northside)
01 August, 2011
Effective 1 August 2011 to January 2012
The Route 759 services between St Marys and Mt Druitt are being temporarily diverted to provide a connection to the northside of St Mary Station during CityRail lift maintenance.
A range of regular Route 759 services from St Marys Station (southside) will now divert from Glossop Street, turning left onto Harris Street and then straight on Forrester Road. These services will not pass this bus stop during the temporary diversion. Intending passengers are advised to use the alternative bus stops on this route.

Closure of Western Rd, Kemps Creek

Due to road works on Western Road, affected Westbus School services will divert travelling straight along Devonshire Rd, via Herbert St, Lee & Clark Rd, then continue on their normal school routes.

The Horsley Drive diversion towards Smithfield & Parramatta
10 May, 2011
Effective 9 May till December 2011
Routes 802, 804, 812, 813 & 814
Due to a construction zone on Nelson St, Westbus services will travel straight along Smart St, turn right in Cunninghame St and left in The Horsley Drive, then continue on their normal route.
Only two services will use The Horsley Drive bus stop during construction. Route 812 due at 3:25pm & Route 813 due at 3:40pm services from Fairfield Stationwill travel the normal route, stopping at the High School bus stop.
For intending passengers, the nearest alternative bus stop is a short walk to Smart St or Cunninghame St. Services inbound to Fairfield Station are not affected.

Westbus Service Restrictions Route 674, 759 & 780
15 March, 2011
Due to an assault of a Bus Driver in the Whalan area on Monday night, the St Marys Bus Depot services were temporarily suspended on Tuesday 15 March. Westbus and the Drivers Union have held discussions to reach a safety agreement that will restore bus services to the normal timetable.
Safety and security discussions are continuing and Westbus will be issuing updated information when available.

Route 759 Diversion All services after 7pm
09 March, 2011
Due to several robberies in the Emerton area over the past week, diversions for the route 759 service will come into affect from 7pm
each evening, including weekends.
Westbus, the TWU and local Police are working to resolve this issue so that normal services can resume. This diversion will be as follows:
From Mt Druitt
Carlisle Ave Left - Woodstock Ave, Left - Popondetta Road, Right - Luxford Road, Left - Hatherton Road
To Mt Druitt
Hatherton Road, Right - Luxford Road, Left - Popondetta Road, Right - Woodstock Ave, Right - Carlisle Ave

Changes to Route 675
06 January, 2011
Route 675 is being diverted from the UWS Hawkesbury Campus and will operate via College & Bourke St, Richmond.
The new route will commence on Monday 10th January, 2011.

Some Holroyd, Fairfield & Liverpool Bus timetables are being adjusted from 15 November

Local bus timetables are being adjusted to improve running times and access to popular locations.
The Parramatta route 810 is being extended to provide a direct service to areas previously served by bus route 809, Pemulwuy to Merrylands, via Merrylands Road.
The timetable changes will apply to routes 802, 803, 804, 806, 808, 809, 810, 811, 812, 813, 814, 817, 818, 820, 821 and 822, customers of these regular bus services are advised to check their new timetable.

Luxford Road Bus Stop Relocation

From Monday 12 July, Luxford Road bus stop will be relocated. Intending Mt Druitt passengers can catch their bus prior to Tinam Ave opposite Gasmata Cr.

Change to Route 674 between Mt Druitt and Windsor
25 June, 2010
Working with the local member and Blacktown Council to improve services to the community, Westbus is amending the Route 674 bus route to operate on the western side of Luxford Road.
The change will have buses travelling on Gasmata Crescent, Moresby Crescent and Samarai Road. Route 674 services currently travelling on Bulolo Drive will serve the alternative locations.
These service changes will commence a 3 month trial on Monday 5 July 2010.

Routes 804 & 816
10 May, 2010
Due to traffic turn restrictions, all 804 & 816 services will not stop at this location. Customers boarding routes 804 to Parramatta and 816 to Greenfield Park on Edensor Road should make their way to the nearby Smithfield Road bus stop, as shown below.
